the gumption memo -- an open letter about what to do next...
Back in 1992 I unexpectedly inherited $50,000 and decided to use it to help prevent some of the human suffering around the world. So I spent some time studying up on the world's problems and trying to figure out how to fix them.
The Gumption Memo is an open letter outlining my thoughts on how to go about addressing some world problems. It's arranged as about 50 semi-independent web pages.
- environmental problems
- wealth & poverty
- military spending
- rational decision making
- individual responsibility
- personal philanthropy
