here's the cleanup plan we filed with Burning Man:

Clean Up Plan 2000
1. Theme Camp name:

blue

We suggest you choose a clean-up foreman for your camp. This person should be the last person to leave the playa from your camp and will be held responsible if your Leave No Trace plan runs amok.

2. Clean-up foreman name and email:

Rebecca Seggel (becca.seggel@iname.com)

3. How many members in your camp?

10 to 15

4. Describe your theme camp in terms of construction materials:

We will be using all light weight materials:

  • 6 to 8 tents tied down to rebar stakes and covered with tarps
  • 2 shade structures made from tarps, thin metal poles, and rebar stakes
  • 1 wooden trellace tied down to rebar stakes
  • 9 croquet wickets made from PVC poles, cardboard, and rebar stakes
  • 2 croquet stakes, 5'
  • 1 "four-square" court made from rope and tent pegs
5. What is your plan for discussing and having members commit to helping with cleaning/packing up your camp?

We are sending frequent e-mail messages to the members of our camp.  One of these messages will be dedicated to cleanup details and requirements, and we'll require buy-in from anyone wishing to camp with us.

6. What are your plans for trash disposal?

We will provide a sealed, communal trash bin for our camp, and we will pack it out in full and dispose of it back in the Bay Area.

7. What are your plans for recycling?

We will provide a sealed, communal recycle bin for our camp, and will pack it out in full and dispose of it back in the Bay Area.

The back of your ticket asks that every participant at Burning Man contribute 2 hours of playa clean up before departure.

8. Will you be volunteering time to our mass clean up on Sunday?

Yes.

9. If so, in what capacity and for how long?

In whatever way is needed, for two hours.

10. How many people from your camp will be helping?

At least 2.

11.  What other question have you added to this questionnaire?

Just this one at the end, for anyone who is still reading!
